To receive the export license, application is submitted to the director general of foreign trade (DGFT). These applications are reviewed by the Export licensing committee.
Export of samples
To export samples, exporters must be registered with Export promotion council. Samples can be exported for free with marking as 'sample not for sale'.
Shipping bill is required to be submitted by exporter when exporting by ocean or air.
